Fourth sketch in the series of proposed paintings depicting all 80 Richthofen victories:Richthofen's fourth aerial victory was on October 7, 1916. At 9:10am on that day, the Baron shot down a British BE 12, serial # 6618 over Rancourt, France.   Richthofen fired over 400 rounds at the British plane piloted 2nd Lt. William Cecil Fenwick. A round or rounds hit Fenwick in the head causing his plane to plummet to the ground. Fenwick was buried on the field, his grave lost to the turmoil of war.
