I’m sure like me you have saved searches on among others that well known on line auction site beginning with an “e” and ending in a “Y” (did I get away with it?) For a couple of months I’ve had a few originals by Phil West and Steve Brown in my wish list being sold by the same seller, You may even be a member here? The prices were well out of my league. You notice I said “were” today once again I notice they have been re-listed….again, but instead of reducing to more realistic prices they have gone up!! For example Over The Beaches was £10,000 now £12,500….very punchy price became even punchier!
Good luck to the seller, but suspect he is trying to make a profit on the price he paid the publisher for them.
Hi Daz, hope you are well. I see your collection grows and grows !!
I saw these. I’m pretty sure most of Phil Wests originals were selling around the £5k – £7k mark. Certainly not £10k or £12k !!! Plus of course, we are still in a recession so no-one is looking to pay top dollar anyway. The seller is living in an alternative universe somewhere.
To be honest, I’ve seen some ridiculous asking prices on AV Art in Ebay recently.
