just recently I have joined the eHangar, as MartinL
Since getting my pilot’s licence in 1974 I have been collecting aviation humour and after selling books of Bob Stevens (USA) for a while I decided to publish my own books. But I am no artist.
So after a while I found Ton van Andel, an excellent aviation cartoonist in Holland.
In 1982 our first book was published: Say again. It has now been reprinted 10 times and is being sold worldwide.
It was followed by several other books, 8 until now.
For all info look at: http://www.humor.aero
My latest project: a book with cartoons by various artists !!!
At this moment I am still looking for additional artists, and for your info: there will be a payment for every published page before publication, and afterward a percentage of sales will be divided to artists.
Looking forward to reactions.
Welcome to eHangar.com!
Sorry for the belated welcome, but weekends are just really packed for me, family-wise, etc. I get more PC time during the weekdays 🙂
Your work is very interesting. Do these aviation humour books sell well? I guess they do, othewise you wouldn’t be doing this for the past umpteen years.
How do you market the books, globally? Are these also sold on Amazon?
Enjoy the site, and I look forward to your participation and contributions here 🙂

Thank you for kind words.
Books are being sold by distributors around the world, and directly via Internet. On my website you can just follow the steps under “Ord?«ring books”. Also prices are quite friendly.
Unfortunately Amazon only sells books if you work from USA, or one of the other ‘Amazon countries’. So, until now, no sales via Amazon.
I’m back again…
After some turbulent years the total number of publications is now 25 books and more coming…..
All info can still be found on http://www.humor.aero and I keep looking for aviation cartoons to be included in next publication. The bbok market is not excellent but now all books also are published as ebooks and that might change sales to the better.
Over the years cartoons by approximately 40 cartoonists have been published in books, those artists came from allover the world, from Australia to USA to France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium etc etc.
