Voting has been extended to 4 February.
I extended the nominating period because Guss needed a little more time to get his fine Russian Lend-Lease paintings in the contest. Well worth the wait.
That compressed our voting time, but I didn’t want to extend it because Sunny had plans to do some maintenance of the site after the contest. Sunny sent me a note and said it would be OK to extend the voting time. He also gave the contest a plug on his Facebook site. Since I voted, there have been over 200 views of the contest. I’m hoping some of those viewers will jump in and vote!

Again, a big thanks to all who submitted and especially those who voted!
It’s nice to see the year’s creations and collections consolidated in one spot. If you go back and look at any contest year, you’ll see a very interesting selection of aviation art.
My one pet peeve – voting. I checked the number of views when I voted, and it had not quite hit 600. Views are over 1100 now. So, we’ve had well over 500 views since the voting started, but not many of those viewers voted. We sure would like to hear your opinions! Put it on your calendar for next year!
Congrats to all nominated entries and winners!
As always, the art is amazing.
On behalf of everyone here, I would like to thank Kurt a.k.a. fuzzy for again organizing this annual competition. Thank you, Kurt!
I would like to add a point here regarding the disparate number of views versus the voter turnout – I believe many of the later views were as a result of my post on the eHangar Aviation Art Facebook page. We have over 9,500 subscribers to this page, most of whom are not eHangar members. They followed my link to view the art on this thread, but did not register here to vote. Hence the disparity.
That being said, I believe we should have a larger voting audience in the future, when we move over to the new platform, as those who are members of the Aviation Social Network will be able to vote in the forums too.
