Recently I've being writing about aviation art at my website that has a blog too.
In those texts I'm explaining what it is (1st post) what is necessary and to whom you can work for and probably there will a third post and who knows a 4th.

First let me tell few words regarding to become an aviation artist.
Just like the other artists it is not necessary to be graduated to work as one but it helps a lot, mainly, if you are graduated in Art area, or your graduation hold any subject related to art history..."

Beechcraft M18 from Philippines airlines - Paul Irving "Pappy" Gunn.
This is the second version I did for this illustration. The other alternative was done for a publisher to be used in as book cover of the Indestructible: One Man's Rescue Mission That Changed the Course of WWII that will be printed in Portuguese.
The main difference between those illustrations is the color/light. position and structure are the same.
