Julio Arróspide is Chilean editor and illustrator of aviation-related topics and is the creator of the aeronautical publishing Aviation Art & History SpA, which has published twelve books and monographs related to the history of the Chilean Air Force (FACh) so far, with more than 30 editorial projects to be developed. Julio in his youth joined the FACh at the age of 15 and became an airplane mechanic, working 17 years on aircraft: Hunter, Cessna T-41A, T-34A Mentor, T-37B/C, F-5E/F and T-35B Pillán. After leaving FACh he became a software engineer, working for more than 20 years in different industries, working in distinct roles from application programmer to project manager. Together with the aeronautical researcher Raúl Zamora Martínez they gave life to Aviation Art & History, who together with several collaborators have managed to rescue some of the historical heritage of aeronautics in their publications.
