John Shaw has just announced his new website. There's some cool stuff on there. Worth checking out. It's a work in progress, as he mentions a "remarque gallery", but I don't think it's up yet (if you find it let me know). Here's his message:

Greetings!

Just quick note to let you know that we're announcing the launch of the new official website of the Aviation & Military Art of JOHN D. SHAW.
Please come check it out...we think you'll enjoy it!

We look forward to hearing from you, and
thanks from all of us at Liberty Studios.

My John Shaw "Higher Call" remarque. Despite the two aircraft in the picture, it is a single remarque:

I thought John was on the books of Aces High Confused
Am I mistaken? If so what was the connection with them? and is that now at an end?

Great looking website he's putting together there!

Can't resist the opportunity to link to his new site

Super! I'm a fan of John's work. Glad He's got a site up now where I can view it more easily. Thanks for posting that link Fuzzy.

Very nice site indeed; the images are quite large and clear. Will be very impressive once the site is completed.

Shaw has some incredible work and Valor has been doing some fantastic commissions.

BTW - great remarque Fuzzy!

habu,

As far as I know, John Shaw has always been independent.

He has worked with other publishers, but never in an exclusive arrangement that I am aware of.

John has done several paintings for Valor Studios:

A Higher Call
The Eagles Nest
Hang Tough, Bastogne 1944
We Were A Band Of Brothers
Avengers Of The Phillipines

I believe he worked with Aces High to get signatures on "The Hornet's Nest". Both Aces High & Valor Studios carry his prints.

Other than those individual paintings, I don't think he's been exclusive with any publisher. John Shaw self-publishes via Liberty Studios.

Fuzzy,

The new John Shaw website is indeed very nice. Much better than the old site. I like the print descriptions...great background detail.

I also did a comparison of your remarque and the one Mr Shaw is using on his "About Us" page. You should be very proud that your A Higher Call remarque is displayed there. It is a superb remarque and really does complement the main image.

Thanks again for the A Higher Call remarque info. In the end I decided to purchase a Savage Skies remarque. Apparently I ordered the last one available (25 total), so I should have it in a few weeks. The A Higher Call remarque will have to wait until later this year, but it's still at the top of my list.
