My whole collection of Richard Taylor prints all together in one frame and they balance out nicely, the two Luftwaffe prints were brought at random because i like the style of the print. The two RAF prints are matching number AP’s which was a good score, put together they make a nice opposing scene. A very nice simple framing, single mat and yellow frame tie it together nicely.Frame.jpg

The multi-print framings are an interesting idea.  I like it!

Great group of prints Robert, and I agree with fuzzy that framing several prints together is an interesting idea.  Your framer did a very nice job, and it seems like an excellent way to get more of your artwork on the wall, where it belongs!

Yes, I like it too. Its like a collage.

It also saves framing costs and wall space too! cool2

I have done it a few times before but just with cheaper prints as Guss says it does save on room and framing, i usually only do it if i find a good theme and the prints are small, the two pencil prints signed by Gorton and Whitlem i put together because they Both served with the Royal Australian Air Force during WWII and both went on to become Prime Minister of Australia. The four Richard Taylor prints were always going to go in one frame as the balance each other nicely, I currently have a copy of Strike and Return – RAAF Commanders Edition with the companion The Return of George at the framers to go in one frame with a few gold bullion crests, i want to keep the two prints together it will be an experiment and the biggest i have done so far. I have included my first two multi print attempts. 109.jpgp47.jpg

Just back from framing Double Strike and Desert Victory both number 324/400 which goes with my copy of One Mig Down with the same number. I wanted the same basic frame but of course they no longer make that frame so they all are not identical.

Cool prints – the signatures on “One MiG Down” are really interesting!

Here are some select prints I have in my collection.  I am a big Robert Taylor and Gil Cohen fan, but also like Robert Bailey and Nicholas Trudgian.

Thanks,   Mike

Have been thinking of doing my Hunters in the Desert similar with including two armbands, are you not worried about the armband on the print?

Finally finished my first attempt at framing a print along with its companion (Well waiting patiently and paying for someone to frame it.)

Strike and Return and The Return of George – RAAF Commanders Edition by Robert Taylor.

Strike and Return signed by 11 Australians that flew and crewed the Lancaster’s of 460 Sqn RAAF under command of RAF Bomber Command.IMG_1334.JPGIMG_1335.JPGIMG_1336.JPG

The Return of George was commissioned to celebrate the return of ‘G’ for George to the AWM on 6 December 2003, 10 distinguished crewmembers of this legendary bomber of 460 Sqn RAAF have joined together in signing each print in the edition to mark the occasion.

Included is the Squadron crests for 460 Sqn RAAF and RAF Bomber Command, a picture of Air Chief Marshal Sir Arthur Harris along with a first day cover bearing his signature finishes it all off.
