Virginia Bader did have a framed “Rosie’s Crew” at Oshkosh last week.  However, that print was not remarqued.

As an aside, this is one of my favorite images in all of aviation art!

The quality of the prints and the canvases is unmatched.

Hi Buzz, mine was purchased back in April working with Steve at VBAA, it was for sale in the secondary market listings. Could be a similar one out there.

Ah. See, see.

Steve is a really nice guy. VB was giving him hell (in a nice way) at EAA because I wanted them to bring along a print to look at and Steve forgot to pack it. It all worked out because VB gave me a double birthday discount on my purchase at the show. thumbsup

So OK then, what day(s) were you there? I was there Tuesday & Saturday. I’m only 25 minutes from my driveway to the parking lot for the OSH tower.

Tuesday was my run around and see/talk to/buy day and Saturday was my flight-line duty day.

buzz,

I was there Wed & Thu.  I met up with another old eHangar member – viking – on Wed.  foxtrot105 is a regular Osh goer, and I need to meet up with him one of these years.  I’ll be glad to meet up with you next year if possible.  Actually, we should have an eHangar get-together with everyone we can find.  I’ll send you a PM (if that’w working these days) with my contact info.

So far, that’s 5 of us if we can work out the logistics: fuzzy, viking, foxtrot105, buzzc320, guss.  I’m sure it would be fun if we could pull it off.

I’ve never been to the big show but plan to go next year for the first time.  I’m not one of the old timers here but would enjoy getting a chance to meet and talk with the collectors that I follow here.  So if you are open to newbs, count me in and please add me to your list!

All are welcome.  There is no old-timer/new-timer divide here.

I guess I’ve just had more time to get to know some of the guys who have been around a while.

If anyone thinks they might want to meet up at Osh in 2017, put a post here or send me a PM and I’ll work up some kind of email list!

Oshkosh is a piece of cake. Just plan on walking 19.2 miles in 90ºF weather, the 4 main exhibitor hangar interiors are always 100º+, you’ll spend way too much $$$ and get a sore neck watching the show. And that would be day 1….

They are ALL magnificent! I couldn’t decide if asked to choose which is the best in this latest batch.think

I’m glad aviation artists like John D Shaw upped the ante by creating high quality remarques for the collector market that all other artists had to follow suit. I can see such a vast difference between Robert Taylor’s old remarques from the 1980s and 1990s to what he’s producing today.goodshow

That’s it for now updating the remarques, back early next year with more currently in the pipeline. I know there are lots of people out there with some stunning remarques many of which I have seen encourage you to share and post them

Nice prints and great remarques.  I wouldn’t mind having a copy of “Response to Call” myself.

Well after several years I’ve finally acquired my Holy Grails of RT1 remarques.  Kudos go out to Rick and Rod of Aces High for all their help in making my collection complete.

Rolling Thunder

Phantom Strike

Phantom Fury

Viper Venom – This one really means a lot.  I sent RT a picture that my wingman took of me when we were flying over Bosnia in 1996 as part of Operation Decisive Edge.  He then turned it into a remarque.  It’s definitely a one of a kind.

And finally my den

Great RT remarques and stunning collection.  You’re the first person I know in an RT remarque!

Great to see pics of the “jet cave”!  Nice to see Harley Copic’s “Thunder Over The Red River” up there too.

I had been looking for a Robert Taylor Millenium Edition “Fight For The Sky” for many years.  I wanted those 25 Battle of Britain Spitfire pilot signatures on it.  I consider those gentlemen heroes of the entire free world.

A few months back, I stumbled across a remarqued copy, and the matching number remarqued Millenium Edition “Glorious Summer” with 20 Battle of Britain Hurricane pilot signatures was also available.  So, I took the plunge.  The remarque drawings impressed me.  They were done prior to the “super remarque” age we enjoy today, but despite that they are good-sized drawings and quite detailed.

These two will be framed.  I’ve acquired Hugh Dowding and Keith Park signatures, plus some WW2 vintage RAF wings to go in the mats.  Now I’ve just got to order some materials and find the time for this project!

Excuse the reflections – they are currently shrink-wrapped.
