Hello all,

I’ve been watching this marvellous thread for a while & have finally worked out (I hope!) how to post these photos, though I should apologise for the poor quality iPhone photos.

What follows are three of my new remarques. Big Channel Dash drawing to be uploaded soon!

Thank you & best wishes to all who have posted their prints thus far. It has been a total joy to see so many wonderful drawings.

Hi Templehof,

Thanks for sharing your remarques, they are very good. I really like the ‘Knight of the Reich’.

So, here is another spectacular remarque, probably my favourite. The level of detail is incredible, especially the interpretation of the waves and spray. The drawing reminds me of the older Robert Taylor print ‘Operation Cerberus’.

Templehof, these remarques are absolutely jaw-dropping! drool

Thank you for sharing them here with us.

I wonder how they will look like when framed up. Are you framing them up anytime soon?

Thanks for the positive feedback chaps. Unfortunately, I’m seriously limited for wall space, and have never framed the remarques. Even more unfortunately, having sold the family silver to finance this ever expensive hobby, I’ll be needing to move them on if I can get a reasonable offer. I paid dealer prices, so I’m preparing myself for disappointment & a sharp pain in the derrière!

Beautiful remarques on an epic scale!  Sent you a PM.  I’m very interested if you think you will be wanting to part with some of these!

Wow – Channel Dash is spectacular!  Impressive!

Just out of curiosity, are these new acquisitions, or were they done a while ago?

Thanks Fuzzy. Yes, they were all commissioned in the last couple of years. I think Robert’s remarques are becoming better & better. More detailed, greater use of white highlighting, generally bigger.

BUT, the downside is the sheer expense & the lead times of nine months or more. You need to have deep pockets & plenty of patience. I’ve got large drawings on Aces on the Western Front & Eagles at Dawn in the pipeline & the suspense is unbearable!

I’ve also recently been corresponding with John D Shaw and have found him to be incredibly accommodating and generally a top guy. I’ve just ordered a big double remarque on Debden Eagles & I’m really looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

There I go again, unashamedly spending the kids’ inheritance….(!)

Templehof, those are great remarques thanks for sharing, really like the KEF very similar to my Ace of Aces. This is my Remarque on Channel Dash, I tried to continue with a theme of great WWII aviators this one for Galland excuse the photographs. The print is now framed up, will post some better photos when I get round to completing some more photography.

Will contact you on the sales, if you plan on selling some of your larger remarques.

Both Channel Dash full width remarques are stunning, thank you both for sharing.

Templehof,

Is that a single Remarque or double Remarque on your print “Knight of the Reich”?

Valentine’s weekend bump. Richard Taylor single remarque on a ‘Ramraiders’ print. Ordered this in June of last year and never heard anything until after Christmas that he was working on a large backlog of remarques and back orders were starting to move.

buzz,

Thanks for posting.  That’s a generously sized single remarque, and you can see the care that went into the drawing.  I’d say Richard did a great job for you!

G’day guys,

A few weeks back I got the opportunity to pick up a print i had been chasing for several years.

It is John Shaw’s “we were a band of brothers”.

Fortunately the copy I picked up was from John Shaw’s personal collection print 101 of 101.

The meaning in that is that the easy Company guys where all from the 101st Airborne Division.

John took the time to do a couple of simply amazing remarques on it the one of Dick Winters has to be seen to be believed.

Couldn’t be happier to finally get this print and to top it off Dick Winters Signature and two amazing remarques with John proving again to me why is my favourite artist to remarque a print.

This is my fifth time I have had John do something quite special but this one really is the new centre of my collection.

Cheers Darren
