Question for you all:
When you order a remarque from Military Gallery or a MG print through Brooks Art, Riveting Images, etc can you request what you would like the remarque of?

RThas,

I really like that remarque on Air Superiority – one of the best I have seen! Obviously, I like the American Eagles remarque as well since it is very similar.

“Duplicate” remarques by Robert Taylor are nothing new. I remember seeing the same Spitfire drawing on a couple of his old prints (Combat Over London and Summer Victory if I remember correctly).

I guess you can’t blame him. How many new and exciting ways are there to sketch a Mustang after you’ve done several hundred of them?

Most artists seem to offer only a handful of remarque drawings to choose from, if they offer a choice at all. Taylor’s level of custom drawings is not bad when compared to most other artists.

I’m sure you can make a specific request through a dealer. It should work out fine, but of course there is the risk of one more person interpreting what you want in the chain.

The other problem is that Taylor’s remarques often sell out very fast on a popular print given that there’s only 25 of them. Be sure your dealer can stake a claim on one so you don’t miss out.

Yes it is possible to request the remarque eg type of aircraft, head on gear up, down etc. The remarque shown in the brochure is usually better than what is produced so a logical step would be to order a copy.

The remarque in Combat over London and Summer Victory is the same Spitfire DW-K taking off.

What would AH/MG have done with the damaged print, it was creased in 2 places and it also had a mark on. Would they have sold it off at a lower price or even destroyed it. It was no:9/25. I would like to have brought the remarque if they were going to discard it.

Hal, i really like that drawing on your “HOUR OF LIBERATION” print, so different and unique.

On most of my remarques that i order when the print is newly published i request if possible the subject matter which i would the the drawing to be. On Richard Taylor new print i have requested the remarque if possible to feature the nose art of the leading B29 in the print…DINA MIGHT.

I requested this one and the building is where I spent many long hours working before it was demolished, Mike Rondot produced a very accurate drawing. I also asked for a two seater as we used to have one based at the field. Mike also named the Remarque Tower Power which is great coming from a pilot.

I can’t wait to see it myself, they called and said its done can’t wait till I get off work today.

Also excited to see the new Trudgian “Cold Front” print with a double remarque. All 10 are already sold-out so I commissioned N Trudgian to add a double remarque to my 9-signature knights cross edition print. Should be here by mid November I hope……………..I have a real good feeling about this print, the early buzz is high and the signatures are all rare.

We shall see

It was the cost of the print plus $600 for a double remarque, so it was more than I wanted to pay but this is a just gotta have it print.

He is gonna do me proud I think, can’t wait!

Rolex
Have you commissioned a Tank or Aircraft or combo, or have you left it with Nic to come up with the goods.
