Here’s an extremely rough “idea” sketch… as well as a card model of the bridge structure which I am making hoping to get a unique view of the famous bridge, not extant in wartime photographs:

I’ll also build just the eastern end of the bridge superstructure and possibly some part of the ‘Erpeler Ley’… the steep bluff which still towers above the site.

That’s a great composition!  Looking forward to seeing it develop with the models, etc.  Loads of potential in this scene.

Thanks, buddy. This is one for the longer term, I think. I’d like to make it a big one, and I don’t really want to do it on canvas, so it’ll probably have to be on laminated hardboard.

Whereas the towers for the bridge model are card, the superstructure will be either balsa or ‘Plastruct’, but this will be mainly about getting good strong lighting and realistic shadows.
