Hello, I post here one of my last work. A P47D razorback over D-Day beaches on the morning. On the background you can guess the pointe du Hoc.

Awesome – love the loose style – captures the movement very well.

Superb image!
Maybe it needs more amphibious landing craft though. Also the USAAF insigna isn’t correct (the circle needs an outline).
But other than that it’s great! I really like how you portrayed the flak damage to the Marauder. Very dramatic!

Gunfighter, one of the best dramatic paintings I have seen for a long time. I too like the flak damage effect. One can easly think your smoke trail is out if line, but then hay, one heck of a big bang would surely knock an aeroplane off course a little. You have portrailed this very well! But what realy caught my eye was the way you painted your clouds. The differant levels are very realistic! Yes mate, this painting tells a story, infact a few if one explores the whole scene.

Well done!!!!

Cheers

Very effectively rendered.

Nice picture Gunfighter! A minor detail change needs to be made to the P-47’s right aileron, which was fitted with a small, fixed balance-tab at the inboard trailing edge. Only the left aileron was fitted with an adjustable trim-tab. Even some of the major kit manufacturers get this wrong…!
